The International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam will be three months - from 24.05.2007 until 02.09.2007.
Each Architecture Biennale Rotterdam is organized by a different curator. In 2007 the Biennale is entrusted the Berlage Institute. Kunsthal Rotterdam will play host for a period of over three months to a programme of exhibitions, lectures, debates and conferences, all addressing the question “how and why has the contemporary city become the way it is?”.
The growing percent of people living in urban surroundings places many questions. The forces and players that shape the world’s 21st-century cities forms the subject matter of the 3rd International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam. As an overarching theme, the Biennale organizers have chosen the title POWER – Producing the Contemporary City.
