The the 3rd international congress Livenarch is going to take place in Kanuni Campus of the University, in Trabzon, Turkey. The Campus is situated 10 km away from Trabzon.
The main theme of the congress is “Contextualism in Architecture” and more precisely “Contextualism as the resolution of identity-creativity dilemma”. But the pointed direction of discussions includes as sub themes:
- Theories and Fictions: Theoretical foundations, frameworks, and concepts; Philosophical, ethical & social implications (In relation to designing for social/cultural/contextual particularities and extremes-climate, geography, devastated cities, specially protected areas, the underprivileged, the peripheral and the marginal, etc.)
- Creative design methods and tools: Design guidelines, methods, and processes; narratives, myths and fantasies
- Innovative solutions: cases of socially appropriate solutions, style and appearance: Urban transformations; Contextual architecture; Building elements, furniture and objects.
